Shanghai Jinyi Engineering & Technology Translation Company Limited

Shanghai Jinyi Engineering & Technology Translation Co., Ltd. (SHJYT), which was founded in 1992 with approval of the Commission of Science and Technology of Shanghai Municipality, is a super-large sized translation company. SHJYT is a member of Translation Service Committee of China Translators’ Association, a member of steering team of China National Translation Enterprise Cooperation Network, a director of Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Translators’ Association and a managing director of the Science and Technology Translation Institute of Shanghai Municipality.

SHJYT, being specialized in translation in the field of engineering and technology, has executed quite many contracts in the recent decade in different industries covering petrochemical, metallurgical and steel, automobiles, large sized engineering construction, power and energy, environmental protection, mechanical and machinery as well as electronics and telecommunication. The companies/enterprises to which we have provided service are those of world class one, national key project, Sino-foreign joint venture, wholly foreign owned enterprises and Chinese civilian-run enterprises. The service contracts we have entered into with our clients are long term contract and project based contract. The service languages we can provide are English, Japanese, German, French and Spanish, etc.

The contracts we had for super-large sized or large sized projects include the following:

l English, Japanese and German translation for contract negotiations and site interpretation as well as written translation of technical documentation in Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for projects listed below:

Ø 300 KTPA Ethylene Revamping Project, and

Ø 700 KTPA Ethylene Revamping Project

These two projects include polypropylene, polyethylene, ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol, aromatics, acrylic fiber and polyester fiber.

l For Shanghai Bao Steel: site interpretation and written translation of technical documents;

l For Guangzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd: site interpretation and written translation of technical documents for its Ethylene Project; and

l For Anqing Petrochemical Company: site interpretation and written translation of technical documents for its imported acrylic fiber plant.

The service contracts we have and currently we are providing our service for super large sized or large sized projects are:

l Oral interpretation and written translation for Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Co., Ltd, a joint venture by Sinopec, Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and BP Chemical Ltd., for 900 KTPA Ethylene Project which includes 900 KTPA Ethylene Cracker; 500 KTPA Aromatics; 90 KTPA Butadiene; 500 KTPA Styrene; 300 KTPA Polystyrene; 250 KTPA Polypropylene; 600 KTPA Polyethylene and 260 KTPA Acrylonitrile ever since December, 2001.

l Oral interpretation and document translation for the Integrated Refining & Ethylene Project of Fujian Petrochemical Co., Ltd.;

l Oral interpretation and document translation for Ethylene Revamping Project of Maoming Petrochemical Co., Ltd.;

l Oral interpretation and document translation for Ethylene Glycol Expansion Project of Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd.;

Our company has more than 30 full time English, Japanese, German and French interpreters who have much working experience in quite some years at different and large sized projects. We also have more than 50 document translators who have sound backgrounds of various technical disciplines.
